Houston harpist, Dr. Abigail Sliva, performs in Houston and the surrounding areas. Her love and dedication to the art of music brought her to Houston where she achieved a doctorate degree in harp performance at the Moores School of Music under the direction of Houston Symphony's Paula Page. Abigail attended the Cleveland Institute of Music for her Bachelor and Master degrees in harp performance where she studied with the renowned recording artist, Yolanda Kondonassis.
Dr. Sliva made her concerto debut in 2013 when she performed as a soloist with the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra. In addition to her experience as a soloist, she performs as guest principal with orchestras across the country such as the Houston Symphony, the Victoria Symphony, the Corpus Christi Symphony, and the Louisiana Symphony.
An active ensemble musician, Dr. Sliva has been a founding member of the Serendipitous Strings Ensemble since 2013.
Dr. Sliva began studying the harp in Chicago Illinois at the age of ten and has continued to pursue the art with passion over the years. An experienced teacher, Dr. Sliva has been educating students of all ages for over eleven years.
